Barry L. Frager, managing
partner of the Frager Law Firm, has been practicing immigration law
since 1990 and has
previously served as a trial attorney for the Immigration &
Naturalization Service in Los Angeles, California through the Honors
Law Graduate Program of the U.S. Department of Justice.
From 2005 to 2011, Mr. Frager served as the national chair of the
Federal Bar Association's Immigration Law Section. For his
service, he received recognition in September 2007 with the Outstanding
Section Chair award by the FBA. Mr. Frager has successfully
planned CLEs for the FBA to offer training to other lawyers in the
immigration law field and holds an annual immigration CLE in Memphis in
May each year.
Mr. Frager has experience handling matters not only in the Mid-South,
but also in the following jurisdictions: Los Angeles, San Francisco,
New York, Newark, Oakdale, New Orleans, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio,
Harlingen and other DOJ immigration courts across the United
States. He returned to his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee to
establish his immigration and general law firm there in 1994.
In 2003, he opened a second office in Nashville, Tennessee which was
expanded in 2007.
The Frager Law Firm assists clients in certain criminal matters due to
the important immigration consequences that certain criminal
convictions may have on an individual's ability to remain in the United
States. Our immigration attorneys handle family
immigration matters, such as marriage petitions and immediate family
members sponsoring other immediate relatives. Our immigration
lawyers also represent people who appear before an
immigration judge in removal or deportation proceedings when the
Department of Homeland Secuity (DHS) has determined that an
individual(s) should be removed or deported from
the United States. In proceedings before an immigration
judge, an individual has a right to retain legal counsel at his or her
own expense (so long as it is not at the expense of the U.S.
government). When individuals want to apply for asylum in the
United States, the Frager Law Firm can assist them in evaluating their
eligibility for asylum or refugee status in the United States.
Our immigration attorneys at the Frager Law Firm can also
assist clients in obtaining employment-based immigrant and
non-immigrant visas. The firm assists professionals in
obtaining H-1B visas as well as other skilled and unskilled workers who
need to apply for their green cards through the labor certification
process.
The Frager Law Firm prides itself on advising clients through a private
consultation, for a minimal consultation fee, in order to evaluate
whether there are any benefits available for non-U.S. citizens who are
either living in the United States or abroad.

Kimberly
Ogden Sutton
Memphis Immigration Attorney

Kimberly Ogden Sutton is the Managing
Attorney of The Frager Law Firm, P.C. As such, she oversees cases in
the Memphis and Nashville offices. Ms. Sutton has had hands-on
experience with all areas of immigration law practiced at the firm,
having been a member of the Family-Based, Employment-Based, and
Litigation Teams in the past. In addition to her duties as Managing
Attorney, she also continues to serve as the Employment-Based Team
leader for the firm.
As immigration enforcement continues to increase, Ms. Sutton is
becoming more involved in worksite enforcement issues, including I-9
audits and compliance assistance. She believes in the old saying, "An
ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure," and hopes to help her
clients avoid hefty fines or criminal charges by helping them to become
compliant before they are audited by the Departement of Homeland
Security.
Ms. Sutton is passionate about her work in immigration because she has
seen over and over again how difficult it can be for her clients to
navigate the immigration system, and how their lives and futures have
been impacted by seemingly small actions. She believes that a very
important part of her job is to educate her clients about their cases
and how the law affects them. Details are critical in the immigration
field, and she is dedicated to helping her clients understand not only
the "big picture" of their cases, but how the details count, as well.
Ms. Sutton is a native of Louisiana, where she earned a B.A. in
Speech-Theatre (cum laude, National Merit Scholar) in 1997, and an M.A.
in Speech-Theatre, Administration (cum laude) in 1999, both from
Louisiana Tech University. She earned a J.D. from the University of
Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2006, where she was the
recipient of the Herbert Herff Law Scholarship and the Cecil C.
Humphreys Law Fellowship. She has been licensed to practice law since
2006, and has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of
Tennessee, the United States District Court, Western District of
Tennessee, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. She
is a member of the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar
Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Ms. Sutton has been a Tennessee resident since 1999. She lives in
Bartlett with her husband, daughter and cat.
